One power asset, flexible compute allocation

Low-cost off-grid generation underpins both revenue lines. They can run in parallel and are prioritized by return, with the main line and scale finalized per internal testing and client contracts.

A single integrated chain: fuel at the wellhead, conversion on the pad, and consumption inside the halls.

  1. Stage 01

    Natural Gas

    Purchased from gas retailers or the Bow River gas co-op, or tapped at the wellhead from acquired gas fields.

  2. Stage 02

    On-Site Generation

    Skid-mounted gas gensets deployed for off-grid self-supply — no transmission or distribution fees.

  3. Stage 03

    Data Center

    Modular containerized halls with air or immersion cooling, medium-voltage distribution and SuperNet fiber access.

  4. Stage 04

    AI/HPC & Blockchain Compute

    Two revenue lines: self-mining Bitcoin, and AI/HPC compute colocation where the client brings its own GPUs.

Three ways to engage

Self-mining

BitRock operates its own ASIC fleet on site, converting low-cost power directly into Bitcoin output.

AI/HPC colocation

A client places its own GPUs in the halls; BitRock supplies power, cooling, fiber and on-site operations.

Infrastructure partnership

Rack leasing, EPC construction, power-asset cooperation, and gas supply or equipment resources.

Pillar 01

On-Site Gas-to-Power

Skid-mounted natural-gas generation deployed next to the gas source for fully off-grid self-supply.

  • 30 × 400 kW skid-mounted gas gensets in Phase 1 — 12 MW nameplate, 10 MW continuous COP — with SCR/DOC emissions control, switchgear and transformers.
  • Gas purchased from gas retailers or the Bow River gas co-op, or tapped at the wellhead from acquired gas fields and wells.
  • Off-grid self-supply avoids grid transmission and distribution fees and interconnection queues.
  • All-in power price of ~US$0.03/kWh, well below industrial grid tariffs; generation cost at current gas price is approximately 1–2 ¢/kWh.
  • Off-grid self-supply under 75 MW is exempt from Alberta's 2% data-center levy.

Pillar 02

AI/HPC Colocation

Colocation capacity for AI training and inference, with the client bringing its own GPUs.

  • Hall and cooling upgraded per client need — containerized air cooling or immersion cooling.
  • Alberta SuperNet fiber access for high-speed connectivity, with a telecom tower on site.
  • Naturally low ambient temperatures aid cooling with low PUE across cold winters and cool summers.
  • Local engineering and O&M team supporting off-grid operations, with ERP production-safety and EMS emergency-shutdown procedures being built up.
  • Requires a signed client offtake and a secured GPU source; procurement of US-origin advanced GPUs adds US export-control (EAR) compliance.

Pillar 03

Blockchain Infrastructure

Mature, base-load workloads that monetise low-cost power immediately.

  • Self-mining Bitcoin as the near-term cash-flow line, running on low-cost off-grid power.
  • ASIC deployment proven at the partner's live facility in the same area, running at full load through extreme winter cold.
  • Revenue is elastic to coin price and network difficulty; a low power price plus efficient machines is the hedge.
  • Rack leasing and compute colocation are available as partnership structures.

Platform

Power, cooling, fiber and operations

Shared infrastructure that lets either workload line scale in modular increments.

Power

Off-grid self-generation with no transmission or distribution fees. Phase 1 at 10 MW, expandable to a planned 50 MW.

Cooling

Containerized air cooling or immersion cooling, with evaporative cooling on the halls and a naturally cold, dry Alberta climate assisting low PUE.

Fiber

Alberta SuperNet fiber passing nearby, plus on-site telecom infrastructure.

Modular deployment

Skid-mounted and containerized modules with roughly one to two months of on-site construction, replicated for expansion.

Operations

Local engineering and O&M team with off-grid experience; ERP production-safety plan and EMS emergency shutdown under build-up.

Flexible allocation

Establish cash flow with mature workloads, then upgrade capacity toward AI compute as offtake is secured — both lines may run in parallel.
